Is there a difference between phantoms and ghost?

Phantoms can be killed, and are not able to float through walls. They are also only in the Temple of the Ocean King.

Ghosts can float throgh walls and cannot be destroyed, ans also only appear in the Ghost Ship.

Phantoms are the large armoured guards in the Temple of the Ocean King. They will chase after any players that they see. If one hits you, it will knock you out and you lose 30 seconds in your Hourglass. (15 if the Spirit of Wisdom is active). Phantoms cannot be killed unless you have a powerful enough sword, or you dunk it down a pitfall.

I assume that the 'ghosts' you are referring to are the (usually) invisible ones that steal Hourglass time from you. If one hits you, you lose 15 seconds in your Hourglass. You can kill them with one hit, dropping a 30-second time item. They appear on your map as a skull icon.

on the legend of Zelda games yes. the phantoms are mimics of other game characters(i. e. Ganon) while the ghosts, actually poes are more ghostlike and mimic nothing.
