Unfortunately, yes. I just got done with the game and I thought he would live.

I don't want to spoil anything, but the games old enought i think its safe.

At the end, Zack (really named something like Zauchuve or something (terrories leader) but i will call him Zack) kills Gaz along with other people you've played with without the game. Captain Price slides you a pistol and you use it to kill Zack and his guys. Your Russian allies drop from an helecopter to help you. As they hook you up to a rope thing to lift you into the helecopter, you look over and someone is trying to do CPR on Campain Price (not mouth-to-mouth) as the screen fades to white and you hear a newscaster mentoning things. You should listen to what she says. Is kinda funny (relating to the cargo ship opp.)
