If you go to bungie.net and sign up they have heatmaps of where players throughout the world have been killed and done the most killing in each map and it gives a very basic birds eye view of the top floor or highest points of each map. Go to "games", under "Halo 3" go to "online stats", and click "heatmaps." To view maps more easily, turn the influence down to 1 and the red and yellow indicatations should be extremely minimal.
