The maplestory Monster Carnival is a party quest. There are two versions, cpq1 and cpq2. Cpq 1 (or monster carnival 1) is accessible through Kerning City by talking to speilgelmann. It is for level 30~50 and is generally regarded as one of the faster ways to level. This party quest involves killing monster for points which you can then use to hinder opponents. Earning the most points gets you a "win" which rewards you with bonus experience. The monsters in the party quest can also drop "Maple Coins" which you can trade in for level 30~50 weapons of any class or a speilgelmann necklace (or the marble which upgrades this item).
Cpq 2 (or monster carnival 2) is accessible through Singapore, Orbis, or Ludibrium. It is for level 51~70. It works in the same format as cpq 1 except with changed maps and monsters. Through cpq 2 you can earn a medal (through highest total wins or highest win-loss ratio) or a speilgelmann necklace with additional stats.
