On Poptropica how do you get your avatar to not be random?

When you begin on the site, you are given the opportunity to change many aspects of your avatar. Once you enter the islands, the only way to change appearances is to copy a costume item, win or buy a special outfit, or change hair and skin color.

If you use the Randomizer, you can get various sets of appearances for each gender. However, there is no way to revert the changes by the Randomizer. Hold down the keys on your keyboard for CTRL and SHIFT, and press the R key to toggle.

The appearance randomizer is built into Poptropica. To access it, you need only press the proper control keys on your keyboard. Using the randomizer, you cannot reverse back to your old appearance.

Click on the playing area of the screen, then hold down your Control (Ctrl) and Shift keys while pressing the R key. You can press it repeatedly to toggle through all the available "looks" for the characters (both male and female).

Similarly, click on the playing area, hold down Control and Shift, then press the S key to toggle through all the complexions.

Some keyboard combinations are already used by Windows, so the H key for Hair Color may present a difficulty. Control + Shift + P toggles a Pumpkin Head (on then off).
