On a VFR approach, you can determine that you have captured the glideslope when your visual references align with the desired descent path, typically indicated by maintaining a consistent rate of descent toward the runway. Additionally, if you’re using instruments, you will see the glideslope indicator on your approach display center or within the acceptable range. Maintaining a stable approach speed and visually confirming the runway environment also indicates you are on the correct glidepath.
