On fallout 3 can you get a girlfriend?

Star Paladin will hold your hand, she can be found in the Citadel; also Sydney will offer to help, she is in the National Archives.

Like I have said before and she keeps erasing it well you can get a perk for alternate speaking selections with the opposite sex but no you can not have a girl friend and just because she holds your hand, that doesn't answer the question.

There might be a way on the PC fallout 3 version to get Bittercup as your girlfriend, she seems to take a liking to you. It probably has to do with your karma and your dialogue choices with her, too. I'm not entirely sure though.
I do not believe so although there is a town called Big Town where you will find a girl by the name of Bittercup who will take a liking to you if you side with her in her conversations with you. You just need to say the right things I believe. Thats the only example of a girlfriend like figure in the game and she doesn't have to many options really.
