Still don't understand about how to connected between GBA Harvest moon and Harvest moon DS Please help?

this always annoyed me to, don't worry. you put your harvest moon ds and harvest moon friends of mineral town both into your ds and turn on your ds. your ds should activate the two games and you get mineral town people in your harvest moon ds game. people have said that the European version doesn't do this but mine works fine?? so I'm not sure about that. if you need more info then go on:
