(1) Poor Worker Moral -- Why would anyone be motivated when they COULD be next? (2) Poor Public Relations -- People like myself look negatively on companies who do this and refuse to do business with them. Think about this one, if you were laid off due to outsourcing, would you do business with others who jumped on the same outsourcing band wagon? (3) Poor Company Value -- You sold out. Your company is worthless and is being ran by mostly foreigners. Be prepared when they take it over down the road. (4) Security -- Want to keep that corporate secret safe? Good luck. It might be sold to the highest bidder without your knowledge. Also, good luck trying to get a foreign government to help you when they are only concerned with their people and not you. (5) Poor Market -- The economy ISN'T going to get better with more people being unemployed. Now time for my comments on the last item; "Poor Market". The economy ISN'T going to get better with more people being unemployed. But it extends much further into what I call a chain reaction. If you are laid off, you will only buy the essentials when your money is tight; food, water, etc. You won't buy items like DVDs, Video Games, etc., since they are non-essential to your survival. This means that the business that sells these goods now has a drop in sales, so they lay off people, who in turn can't buy items from other businesses, who in turn lay off even more people. See a pattern here?
