A White Mushroom is a rare Emblem Heartless. White Mushrooms are benevolent, and will not attack you. They will automatically disappear if you attack them, unless you cast the right spell. Casting the correct spell will result in a prize that comes in the form of Munny, Synthesis-Items, and Orbs. You will know which spell to cast, based upon the White Mushroom's movement. Here is a list to understand the spell/movement scenario:

If it is shivering, cast Fire-based magic.

If it begins to fan itself, cast Blizzard-based magic.

If a light appears above its head, cast Thunder-based magic

If it begins to float in the air, cast Gravity-based magic.

If it spins around, cast Aero-based magic.

If it Stands still/Does nothing, cast Stop-based magic.

If it trips and falls, cast Cure-based magic.
