What are all the glitches on Poptropica?

One of the glitches is pressing CTRL and + and then the screen will shake when you land after a jump and the screen will get bigger.

In Time Tangled Island, go to Viking Time, get what you need to get there, and go into the cave. When you have a torch, time-travel somewhere else. You should be holding a torch that never burns out, even if you go into water! (* This would be a very unusual glitch, because it never happened to anyone else.)

COSTUME GLITCH : After wearing the Einstein costume, players have reported that the "special effects" (ray blasts, etc.) on other costumes will not work.

POSiTIONAL GLITCHES: If your character gets stuck and cannot return to a scene, reboot Poptropica. If this does not work, buy the Haunted House from the Store, enter it, then leave it. You will escape to the Island map. Or you may try using the "shortcuts" that lead to various new islands, which likewise take you out of the island you are playing. Worse case scenario: open the small map at upper right and "Restart the Island."

GAME GLITCHES: (use solution above if necessary)

- On Spy island, Director D or the minibots stop moving. A reboot is needed: leave the Satellite Control center using the transporter and go back to Toupee Terrace, then reboot and you should replay the Control Center scene.

- On Astro Knights Island, the mouse may not release properly. Leave the island and return to fix this one. If your game exits while you are in space, your spaceship parks on top of the castle.

- On Cryptids Island, the helicopter locks up in the Bigfoot Chase. Use the positional glitch solution above. Restarting the island at the very end is awful.

- On Great Pumpkin Island, the Snoopy Leaf Game may stop working. You will have to try restarting the game when the temporary bug has been fixed.

Well, the only glitch I'VE noticed is that every now and then, it loses your saved data, and you have to restart the whole game (not to mention what it then makes your character be- all black & white-eck!)

There are minor inconsistencies in the handling of some sequences.

(Many of these are noted in the WikiAnswers walkthroughs or "how do you beat X island" answers.)

1) One notable flaw is on Spy Island, where many have reported a "freeze" during the final stage of the game. (Either a mini-bot or Director D stops moving.) Rebooting the browser is the only solution.

2) A smaller discrepancy on Spy Island (and others) causes the player's character to "do a dance" repeatedly when attempting to step down for an interactive conversation. This is usually brief and ends by itself. If however, you jump onto the table, the game locks with the dancing motion and must be rebooted.

3) On Big Nate Island, there's a part of the telephone wire that stays in position if you jump a certain way, and to fix this, you need to jump on it again.

4) On Mythology Island, running out of air in the realm of Poseidon can send you prematurely to the Throne Room. The drawback is that you cannot leave except with the Aphrodite mirror, or using the Haunted House card from the Store.

5) Also on Mythology Island, related to using the space-bar to grow big or get small -- wear Hades's crown and Poseidon's trident, then go to the Sphinx's garden. Go into the water. Click the space-bar to grow larger, now click again to shrink, and you are momentarily invisible (click somewhere to move and you'll reappear).

6) On Super Power Island, if you fly just right through the water between the Prison and Main Street, you will be under the side walk, and if you don't fly continuously, you'll disappear. To reappear, just fly back onto the sidewalk.

7) On Astro Knights Island, an interesting situation occurs if you lose your connection (or use the Haunted House) while you are on the Pewter Moon and have not yet created a spaceship. When you return to the island, the game has reset to just before you recovered the Fuel Rod. The rod is back in the dungeon, Excalibur is back in the swamp, and you get to re-launch the saucer all over again. If you reset the game after you have a new spaceship, it is parked on top of the castle.

8) On Great Pumpkin Island, where you try to get the pumpkin to the other side of the log, cross the log, and look for a down slope. This is a similar glitch to the one on Super Power Island where you can fly under the sidewalk. The only difference is that you jump, not fly.

Final Battle Freeze-Up

Either the mini-bots or Director D refuse to attack you. There is no way to back out of the glitch, so you must reboot your browser and start the hideout sequence over again. If Director D disappears after you have beaten him, just use the transporter to get back to the surface and walk back to Headquaters to get your Island Medallion.

Missing Items

On an account that has beaten the entire island, re-entering Spy Island shows that it hasn't been beaten, and an item is missing (the ultra-vision goggles) without which the island cannot be completed.

Dancing Fever

In the Bistro sequence, if you accidentally jump up after getting the Fingerprint glass from the BAD agent, you will be stuck in a "table dance" loop atop the table, and must reboot your browser. The "dance move" occurs at various locations on other islands, but you can move out of it.

as far ias i know there is no way to fix it from a home computer.however,if you can find a way to contact the poptropica creators they might be able to fix it.i've been trying to contact them for the longest time about the glitch because it happens with the laptop i use.good luck,i cant seem to contact them

The Poptropica software may not be loading quickly enough. Try reducing the number of running programs and check your internet connection for any slowdowns. If the program stops at a certain point, sometimes you may need to reboot (re-enter Poptropica) to clear the current download out of your cache.
