What are good professions for a rogue on wow?

If you are picking professions to help your rogue, then you have to decide between one of two routes.

Route one: Gather/CraftingLeatherworking and Skinning are natural partners as the skins you get from skinning will go towards making your gear in leatherworking. When you get your leather-working high enough, your can make some pretty nice enchantments for your armor. Leather-workers can make fur linings for enhance their bracers (takes the place of an enchantment but is usually better). They can also make their leg armor cheaper than the ones they sell. Route two: Gathering Skills for combatHerbalism and Skinning go good together. With skinning you get the bonus crit and with herbalism you get the free self-heal over time. It may not seem like much, but it is absolutely worth it.

Skinning and Mining are also excellent choices. Again you have the crit from skinning and the strength bonus from mining.

• The above two combo work well together because you can only have one tracking type active at a time. You could also do Mining and Herbalism, but you would need to constantly switch between the two when you are farming them.
