What are the advantages and disadvantages of a foot fetish?

I believe that a foot fetish, along with most sexual fetishes, is inborn. I think they can be nurtured and expanded upon but basically you are born with them. You may not even realize that you are inclined in that direction until something introduces you to these feelings, but they are there from birth.

I say this because I have a foot fetish of sorts myself. Like everything else it has degrees of intensity.

One of my earliest memories is from when I was three and I can remember having an intense interest in my nine year old sister's feet. I never had any such interest in my eight year old brother's feet so it had to have been a sexual interest that I wasn't aware of.

This happened long before I had any sexual knowledge so this proves to me that your sexual preferences and fetishes are inborn and not acquired.

You asked for the advantages and disadvantages so I'll tell you my experience.

The main advantage is that people of the opposite sex who don't really have a foot fetish don't give it much thought so there are bare feet for you to admire everywhere.

If you are lucky enough to have a partner who shares your fetish you can sexually arouse each other by playing footsies in public. It can be more arousing than holding hands and less obvious.

Many TV ads have bare feet which you can focus on which will lessen the advertiser's ability to brainwash you into buying their product.

Other advantages would depend on the intensity of your fetish.

The main disadvantage for me is the fact that many people consider a sexual fetish to be some sort of weakness and therefore frown on the practice of said fetish. My fetish is nowhere near extreme but I still feel the need to keep it to myself publicly.(Don't stare, etc.)

Disadvantages would also depend on the intensity of your fetish. If you let it, a fetish can take over your life.

Consider this. In the last decade or so, a number of feet still in the footware have floated ashore on the west coast of North America...This is a foot fetish gone bad...What other possible explanation could there be for such an obscure act?

I'm guessing that this is being done by some poor individual of lower than average intelligence who can think of no other way to rid themselves of the torment they receive from all of the bare feet in the world.

There have been both male and female feet so I imagine this poor soul is constantly confused and maybe they are even attracted to young feet, old feet, dirty feet, feet in socks, shoes, sandals, etc. This person could maybe get sexually aroused watching barefooted starving children on charity commercials.

Whatever your fetish may be, you must control it so it doesn't control you.
