  • Bad grades in school or not focused at work
  • Emotions that will effect you e.g. depression
  • Getting the influence off the Internet to swear
  • May commit suicide towards the sadness & angrinessof being addicted
  • Giving away personal details, that will cause problems

    So if you are addicted to the Internet, try find a hobby that will int rest you in spending more time in that hobby instead of going on the Internet. Or make a timetable to go on the computer for a reasonable amount of hours e.g. 1/2 hour everyday.

    I am some-what of an addict. I do get cravings to play games and i will liturally play games until i can't go on any longer because I'm too hungry/tiered/self-concious.

    The problem isn't the computer games I'm afraid - it's the reason people get addicted to computer games in the first place...

    I play computer games for one reason - to detach myself from my life, and all the problems i have... just for a little bit.

    It's exactly the same reason people have alcohol/drug/sex addictions. Something to do that you can be totally engrossed in, easy to do, and gives you time to get away from all the problems you're having.

    Unfortunatly, and this is the truth kid, running away from problems like this rarly helps...

    The problem may go away, but YOU will know you reacted to your problems by hiding from them. You will, after a period of time, start to hate yourself. You will pity yourself, your situation, and you'll loose your self-respect.

    Computer games is basically mental stimulation, so addictions are only really common in people who enjoy consistant mental stimulation. This is a good thing.Like other addictions, if you just give up you will start to crave other mental tasks. Sudoko... reading the news... forum debates, etc.

    These are all positive things, but again they don't help you fix your life.

    So in summery, the effects of computer game addictions are self-loathing, and a superiority complex stemming from no one around you being able to quench your need for mental challanges.

    The solution:

    Make yourself a todo list of all the things you want to do, then tomorrow, in the free time that you have, start ticking those things off one by one.

    The harder the challange, the more healthy an individual you will become after compleating it.
