The atari 5200 controller was one of the first controllers to have a pause button. It also have two buttons at each side, usually to shoot enemies. On the face of the controller was a numeric keypad, much like the Collecovision and the Intellivision controllers. Another very "appealing" feature of the Atari 5200 controller is that it it probably wont work. Atari 5200 controllers pretty much never work, which is why you would have buy a third party controllers an alternative. Good Answer?

Yes, the 5200 was based around the 6502, one of the most famous 8-bit processors. In fact, the 5200's internal hardware was almost identical to the Atari 400 and 800 ("8-bit family") computers. They made a few minor tweaks that meant games weren't directly compatible between the two, though.
the power supply adapter plugs into the box that the antenna cable and the cable running to the back of the tv go. Basically everything went into or out of this black box. The RCA looking plug coming out of the bottom of the Atari also plugs into this box. Power goes from that cable to the Atari, and the video/audio signal comes out of the same cable.
