You're never too old to play with Mega Block toys. They are great for all ages and are great for nostalgia. The recommended ages given by the company though are from the ages of 12 months old to 3 years old.

There were a whole load of Spider Man Mega bloks sets that came out in conjunction with the 3rd Spider Man film.
Yes, the Halo Mega Bloks set is different because they're intended to be for the Halo series. They have a less "child-like" feel to them because of how action-oriented the Halo series is, making them much different than the ordinary Mega Blok sets.

No. Two different things sadly. Yeah, their rivals. I was hoping Lego would do halo, but unfortunately they only make up their sets unlike mega bloks who get their ideas from video games, movies, and stuff.
It doesn't have a release for uk, American stores have the monopoly on the target sets, as per usual :/

The Offical Mega Bloks Playsets being release for 2011 are being posted for PREORDERS and sneak peeks(subject to Mega Bloks discretion) at badasstoysforbadassboys on January 31st 2011. Check it out! There is quite a few new sets, here are some hints: A Pachyderm, A Big Bird, A New Hog, A Last Stand, New Drop Pods and MORE!! Being released throughout the year, but mainly MAY, JUNE and there is even one that you will get a peek of, not due out until AUGUST!!!!!
Lego doesn't actually make any halo stuff, its Mega Bloks. But yet there are available in a number of stores (Walmart, Toys R Us, Target, Superstore,etc…)
Toys R Us sells Legos, Mega Bloks, K'NEX, Kre-o, and also sells some other building sets and figurines such as robots and other dolls that your child will be interested in.
