The processor size or speed does not determine how much RAM your system needs. Generally speaking, the newer the system, the more RAM you can add. The amount of RAM slots on a motherboard and the motherboard's own subsystem (the BIOS) will determine how much RAM you can add to a particular motherboard.

I would suggest buying a Graphics card for this. A new processor will be helpful to. In my current system i have a Nvidea GTX 780ti Graphics card matched up with a Intel 4790kProcessor both on a MSI Gaming 7 Motherboard. This current setup I have has been amazing for gaming so far and I defiantly suggest these components. Remember gaming hardware can be expensive, so keep that in mind.
