Never heard of it. But if it is a new game released within the last 5 years or so, then DirectX 9.0 will be needed.
No, you don't need CD if you crack the game.
It's not necessary to play the game at all.

There is no need to download DirectX for Vista. it already bundles the latest version of DirectX.
You need to install DirectX for the game. The file is installed with DirectX.If the directX is installed then Download the files from internet and then paste it in the folder of Game.
The most likely-to-work tip is to downgrade your directX.
Windows Vista. DirectX is an API, not a program, and as such it has no specific requirements. To use DirectX 10 hardware features, you need a capable video card.
Riot reccomends a DirectX 9.0 capable video card that supports Shader 2.0
DirectX 9.0c is not available for Windows 7; to actually install DirectX 9.0c, you would have to downgrade to Windows XP (any edition). In order to play games which require DirectX 9.0c without downgrading your installation of Windows, you must upgrade to DirectX 10.1 or later. DirectX 10.0 (initially included in Windows 7) did not include support for DirectX 9.0c, a decision that Microsoft ultimately repealed when DirectX 10.1 was released.
Go to options, if you play fullscreen you need to set resolution the same as your windows resolution. If you can't match it use windowed mode. That fixed it for me.
You do not need to download DirectX 6.1. All versions of Windows from Windows 98 SE on up include DirecTX 6.1 or newer. If you have Windows 95, you should download DirectX 8.0a, available at the link below.
There is no need to download DirectX 3. Versions of DirectX up to DirectX 9 are backwards-compatible. So if you have one version, you can use games and programs that require a previous version. Besides, the DirectX 3 installerwasmeant to be used only on Windows 95, and would probably cause problems if installed on later versions.
