Medli should give you an empty bottle, so use that to scoop up some water that you see bubbling out of the rock. Climb up the broken bridge (on the side you entered from) and on the right of the entrance should be some withered bomb plants. Take out your bottled water and water at least one (unless you are my younger sister, then waste 30 minutes trying to water all five but watering the ground nearby instead due to poor motor control) so you have a bomb plant. Throw the bomb on top of the rock, but don't let it fall into the water. The pond should fill up. Swim across, and there will be a pool of lava, as well as two bomb plants. Throw one into each of the statues' pots. They will fall down, and now the lava is able to be crossed. Now enter the cave, and here is Dragon Roost Cavern, the first dungeon.
After you help Medli by throwing her onto the top of the cliff, she will give you a bottle. You must use this bottle to get some freshwater where the stone blocks the spring. Climb up the bridge and pour the water onto the wilted bomb plant. Then, use the bomb plant to destroy the rock and you will be able to enter Dragon Roost Cavern
