Hold down the power button for approx. 5 seconds to force shut it.

i got a better idea because i tried this but it did not work.
1. tern your DSI on until it does not have any charge
2. tern it on
3. hold on the key pad (up , dawn , left , right , A , B , Y , AND , X )
NOT the L AND R ON THE BACK OF THE DSI
4. hopefully it would work.
