How do you get melon seeds on minecraft?

In minecraft, to use a melon block, you must destroy it. This will yield 3-7 melon slices, which each heal 1 heart of health. You can craft a melon block by filling a crafting grid (9x9) with melon slices. You can also plant melon seeds, which you can plant, by putting 1 melon slice into a crafting grid. This will give you 1 melon seeds.

You must find dungeons underground. If you hear a whole lot of skeletons, Spiders, or Zombies then its possible there is a dungeon. The seeds can be sometimes found inside the chests. So when in caves, mineshafts etc. look for mossy cobblestone or cobblestone that you didnt place and it may be a dungeon. Be careful because there are mob spawners in them.
