I have the save exact problem on Modern Warfare 2 i think the problem is that someone must of reported you of something and you got banned maybe its because of your gamertag our you said a bad word.

∙ 12y agoit could be that your account ran out of time. In other words you need a Gold membership in order to play online with friends and such. It could also be that your account was banned, due to a person reporting you.
EDIT: With a silver account, you can play all games as if you didn't have XBL. You can also chat with one friend at a time. You need a gold account for thing like online play and XBL party chat.
