it happened to me, the disc may become unreadable. try xbox.com/help or something, it is easy to figure out if that doesn't work you may need a new disc. what i did was i bought insurance on the disc when i bought it so if it happened again i could just send it back and get a free new one. the insurance in only a few extra $$.

first, is a 360 or the original Xbox? if it is the 360 then all you have to do is hit the button two times then it will be connected to the second 360. if it is the original Xbox then you unplug it from the old one and plug it in to the other one.
