What is a skeleton in mine craft?

A skeleton is a mob that has a bow, and shoots arrows at you. If you kill it, it will drop up to 2 bones and/or arrows, and has a 1/40 chance of dropping a bow. They burn in sunlight.

They do the same thing you do, just as if there hands have a slowness potion on them (unless you're on hard, and which they fire faster than the player.)
