Eatx stands for electronic automatic transmission controller the eatx relay provides power for the controller and the backup eatx relay is for the backup lights.

The relay is located in the under-hood fuse panel on the driver's side(beside the battery). Remove the lid and read the inside to find the relay/fuse that you need.

The '93 doesn't have one, all trans functions are covered within the 4x5" TCM box mounted high on the firewall on the psgr side. '94 and newer have an EATX relay in the power distribution box on the drivers side just behind the battery. On the '93 the two relays on the psgr side fender well are for the A/C and the radiator fan, the two next to the TCM are the safety shut down and the back up lamp relay, the ones on the drivers side fender well are the auto shut down, the three abs, the engine start, the two high/low radiator fan and finally the fuel pump relay, none of which is marked of course.
The auto shut down relay is located under the hood, an the passenger side, in the fuse and relay box.
