A sims 3 expansion pack is an extra that you can install to add to your original sims 3 game (known as the "base game").You can buy these packs from game stores and on the EA website,and they come in the form of a disc much like the base game.These packs can contain new areas or places(expansion packs),or new items (stuff packs).You must have The Sims 3 base game to install the pack.
