well, he's very hard to beat anyways. he's in the level 40's so you should close to level 50. i'm stupid anyways for trying to beat him on level 36 minstrel. his hack away like a demon will kill you within a few slashes. he has high attack and agility points sap him a few times. always protect your healer either priest, minstrel, or mage. his multislash will kill you. i'm not even going to try to beat him until level 46. but beware SOMETHING WORS IS BEHIND THAT DOOR!

after defeating hootingham gore, go inside the palace. once inside, all the way to the right. then, keep going straight until you see a door on the left side. go through that. you will be outside. DON'T go through the first doorway you see. keep running, then go through the second doorway you see. make your way around the room you are in until you make it to some stairs with a blue light. step into the blue light to heal yourself, if needed. go up the stairs. go left to another doorway that leads outside. make your way south along the ledge until you come to a door. fight goresby purrvis. then, head inside the door. good luck
