What are mystery eggs?

Mystery eggs are basically the same as finding a lost animal. When you get a mystery egg it will ask you if you would like to share this egg with your friends. This produces a post that looks like the following.

On the Lighter Side (or, a better way to say "nothing")

I've often wondered what-- or who-- is inside the Farmville houses, mansions, and cottages. Sometimes... I can *almost* see one of the curtains move slightly, as if someone just walked by the window. Were they snooping on me? Why don't they open the door? Say hello?

Is it possible that "old Mr. Zynga" lives in the big mansion? Maybe he's like a character in a Horror movie, secluded within his house, maybe locked in the attic or living behind a false wall under the eaves. Whoever lives inside, they sure are quiet! Though, during Halloween 2010 when players - er, Trick or Treaters - had to visit each other's farms to collect candy, I swear I could hear the faint sounds of moaning coming from the top of the mansion! Of course, my friends just said I was hearing things! BUT, I *know* I saw ghosts floating above the Haunted House on Farmville Street! I even saw ghostly cats and other animals hiding in pens and near other buildings!!

I often stop plowing when I go near the cottages at the back of my farm. Long, long ago, when the old highway went through town, my farm saw so many travelers! All stopped to gas up and get food at the gas station-diner across from my land--at the time, my father's land. So, my Dad thought it'd be profitable and hospitable to give weary travelers a place to sleep the night. Each cottage rented for just $8.00 back then (would get more like $100.00 a night now, if there was traffic). But, when I was still a little lad, they say one couple left their cabin in the middle of the night, screaming! Of course, they awoke the other travelers, who each made a hasty exit to their cars. Word musta spread fast, because after that, few people dared to stay overnight. The cabins, once a pretty pink with window boxes, deteriorated. Dad painted some brown; he said they'd blend into the scenery better. Everytime I look at the cottages, my hair raises on my arms and I get the chills! When I plow the corner nearest to them, I swear I've sensed someone watching me from those tiny windows!

'Bout the only buildings I go near on my farm is the school-house (used as a church now), and the post-office. And of course, I make my rounds of the barn, stable, nursery, and dairies. My daughter convinced me to build her a "Valentine House"-- what an eyesore! I swear, sometimes if I look at it long enough, I see it grow bigger... guess my eyes are getting bad. The dang thing sits right behind my farmhouse--- not where I like it but they sent me on a fishin' trip and built it while I was gone. No wonder it's so hideous, they built it in a day!

My farmhouse is actually 2 houses that open to each other in the middle. They sit side by side, so I can really spread out. It's not really a farmhouse, but more upscale, as my grandkids call it. Yeah, my kids wanted all the fancy 'machinery' inside-- washer, dryer, dishwasher, and garbage disposal. I said, why do we need a garbage disposal--we got pigs who will eat the leftovers as slop. They used it till it clogged. I ain't never heard of a pig getting clogged, I told 'em. So, I never fixed the dern thing. It used to rattle the cupboards anyway. Who needed that racket!

Though my sign is old and the paint all flaked off years ago, my house (two!) is really "Home Sweet Home!" I made a pick-en-ick-ing spot beyond the front yard. Got a nice wall around it so the little ones can ride bikes and play there. They love the pinwheels that line the fence down front, and the "tricycle planters" full of flowers. The ducks come in and out through the fence and the kids have a rip-roaring time chasing them back to the pond. From my front porch and yard, life... life just looks so GOOD!

And the best part of my house? It's on the corner farthest away from those eerie cottages! One day-- someday-- maybe I'll get up the nerve to walk through my plowed field and go around the fence and walk over to the cottages. Heck, maybe I'll even sleep in one some night--------- maybe.

And so, the question of "what is inside the cottage" remains unanswered. But, apparently, these buildings can be filled with lore, stories, and our own imaginations... for as long as we live!
