• Rotate the purple piece 90 degrees clockwise and place it at the bottom-right
• Flip the green piece and rotate it 90 degrees clockwise and place it at the bottom-left

You have to click on the rotate button. Then switch them so they look like a sort of hat. Then put the handle of the bag on top and it makes professor layton's hat.
