What is the best video game genre?

That is a wonderful question, but I think it would've been better as, what is the most popular video game genre. Based on the games I have played, and what reviews around the world have been placed the whole ordeal is a matter of the type of person and the age group. For most 5-10 year olds, more innocent games such as Pokemon are definitely a factor, I would say Adventure and Simulation games are popular with that age group. As for 11-15 year olds more aggressive games are taken to be more popular, such as Call of Duty, and Halo, which would probably be best said as any type of shooter. 15-20 year olds seem to start to prefer less games with violence and begin to start looking for things that are more in detail, I would say a lot of people around this group would fall under the category of things with big worlds like Oblivion so basically, Free Roam games or better know as Rpg's are popular. As for older types theres really no predictability so it all matters on the taste. Personally though, people may like whatever they want it's just usually what most age groups like, I however am a huge fan of Sci-fi, or Horror based games, and I'm 15.
