In the cut flower world, ammi visnaga is a new and improved variety of ammi majus often called "green mist". Botanically I cannot answer this but from hand's on experience, ammi visnaga is more compact and sturdier bloom, far easier to work with in floral design than good ole ammi majus, which we all refer to as "queen anne's lace". Visnaga varieties are much more appealing aesthetically as the flowers are larger, less wispy and droopy than majus.
