What is the difference between iced and killed in Mafia Wars?

Being iced is when your attacker's latest attack takes your health from 20 or over to under 20 whereas being Whacked is when your attacker's latest attack takes your health from 20 or over to 0.

mobster iced is enemies you attacked and their health reached below 20 but not 0. whacked is the same as killed or snuffed. you whack a mobster when you attacked the player and their hp dropped to 0.

if iced means killed than whacked means killed also so why not just say you killed your opponent

iced is being put under 20 health by an attacker , killed is being taken down to zero health by an attacker .
