Yes there was a limited edition color pink distributed in parts of Asia and Oceania. see related link under original case design for this color and a number of other colors used for the cases
You can complete the pokedex on Pokemon Blue version by trading with you friend who has Pokemon Red version. Or you could do what I do and get two gameboy color's and multiple Pokemon games because none of my friends play Pokemon anyomore; even though it is one of the best games of all time =).

They are 15th Edition, 1987. Beautiful Blue Leather. I don't what about them is different other than the color and sets printed. I have a full set and all of the annuals up to 2005; which I think, however not positive, is the last annaul printed for the set.
