What is the werewolf myth in red dead redemption?

Actually there are many people who believe there is, there have been some rumors of the werewolf all throughout the game, ranging from been killed by an unknown black blur that howls to actually seeing the beast.

There are apparently specific rules on how to find the creature according to people who have found him:

• It must be a full moon
• (Optional): Use a hogtied man as bait, feed him to wolves and watch from the distance, he should spawn.
• Follow the normal wolves, they know
• stay within the radios of Tall Trees and Betcher's hope, the werewolf wont leave there, neither should you.

His appearance that is described by the people who claim to of seen him can easily be mistaken for a bear, black horse, shrubbery or even Lobo (the legendary wolf that closely resembles a werewolf). So been sure if the werewolf's killed you from behind may just be a bear. Any way, this is how he's described, the way he behaves and the area around him:

• Blood red eyes
• Black and dark grey fur and skin
• Tall with a crooked and arched back
• Howls and grunts
• leaves a trail of crimson blood
• Surrounded by a white mist
• usually around wolves
• a short black mane
• about as tall as a bear when standing
• agile/ thin body
• long arms and claws
• One shot kill
• long and haunched snout

Well, he may be real or just a myth but if you ever have any spare time in Red Dead i would certainly spend it looking for him!

The werewolf myth is basically some players claiming to have seen a large black creature with blood red eyes lurking between beatcher's hope and Tall trees. (I find it a great thing to explore), some players say they followed a docile pack of wolves to the creature, others say that it attacked them when hunting in Tall trees. It apparently is surrounded by a thick white mist and is only found at night during a full moon. Since it is so dark many people mistake Shrubbery, black horses, bears and boars for the Werewolf and sometimes even Lobo (a legendary wolf that closely resembles a werewolf). Many people believe this myth is nothing more than a rumor but it think it is defiantly worth checking out!

Another version of the myth is:

John marston is the werewolf he has unexplained scars that only a creature the size of a werewolf could do, signs of recent infection, all the bullets he's survived, a stranger also says I know what you are John like he's a monster and finally why would you kill marston? after all he's done, he's changed. but why would you want a werewolf in your city?
