Xvod is a phony file type used as viruses - beware...However if you mean Xvid, then try using VLC Media Player or Total Video Player, or just plain old DivX, available free off their site.

XVod decoder is a phony (nonexistent) file used as an enticement for spreading viruses and Trojan horses to unsuspecting downloaders. In addition to this, if you convert the file to any other format using a free software like prism you can watch the content without having to download this XVod! http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/ XVOD Codec Warning XVod is a fake codec that is used to scam people. Whoever created XVod have uploaded several movies on BitTorrent sites that ask you for this XVod codec to be able to watch the movie. When you want to download the codec, they will ask you to pay a certain amount of money. If you pay and are lucky, you will be able to watch the movie, but most times more errors will show up and finally you will realise that you paid for something that doesn't work at all!!! It is strongly advice NOT to pay for the XVod codec! What to do if your torrent has the XVod Codec? If you still remember what the exact torrent was that you downloaded, go to the torrent's report function and report the torrent. (If you are a member, you can see the torrent that you downloaded in the Member Area!) After you have reported the torrent, please delete the file that you downloaded and try downloading another torrent. All of the readers are requested NOT to download the software from torrentsu.com as it is a phishing site. Dec 01, 2008: I'm just going to append this answer, as I have no method of actually verifiying what I have found. According to wildman-productions.org, this person created the codec and it is supposed to be free. I tried it on a file that was "XVod" encrypted video and it worked. The torrent was still a fake (even after encryption it was an advertisement and nothing else). The standalone binary (Windows) works. The installer ran into a problem when I tried to run it. BitDefender did not say it was malicious. I guess in the end, it is still a use at your own risk, but I agree with the above answer - DO NOT PAY! Jan 23, 2009 I´ve just tried the binary but it is another fake. It changes the message to tell you that the file is now unlocked and that it is ready to be burned to a DVD but, only if you buy their super ultra shiny CD/DVD Burner software from media.ukpcrepair.com Also, when you are "unlocking" the movie it tries to inject code into Internet Explorer (that was blocked by ZoneAlarm ;-) ) Don't waste your money, it is a fake.
A decoder is a device which retrieves the original meaning of something (A message, video, etc.) by breaking down and solving codes. It reverses the password setting and scrambling of data done by an encoder.

I'm sorry, but I don't have access to specific pages of books or their content, including "Daffynition Decoder." If you provide me with a specific clue or term from that page, I may be able to help you deduce an answer or explanation based on general knowledge.
The decorder needs to have a VIDEO output, some do and some don't. Connect the video output to the tv's video input. These connections might be the R G B connectors or a HDMI connectors, these will be the best to use.
Most (if not all) current consumer TV's (not monitors) are capable of receiving an over the air signal. If it has a built in tuner, it should work. Can't guarantee though that it has a digital tuner, but you can find that out in your owner's manual, the manufacturer's website or by checking the set up menu on your TV.
It should change by itself if you are getting a 1080 program. UNLESS you are using a Satellite decoder box. I had to go to "settings" menu in the decorder box and uncheck 480i then check 480p, 720p and the 1080 box. After that, the Info button activated the screen to display the 1080 format.

A BCD (Binary-Coded Decimal) to 7-segment decoder is a digital circuit that converts a 4-bit binary input, representing a decimal digit (0-9), into a format suitable for driving a 7-segment display. Each output from the decoder corresponds to one of the 7 segments of the display, lighting up the appropriate segments to visually represent the decimal digit. For example, the binary input "0000" lights up the segments to display the number "0," while "1001" corresponds to "9." This type of decoder is commonly used in digital clocks, calculators, and other devices that need to display numeric information.
