DDR3 memory
dimm (ddr3)
The LGA 1155 socket, also known as Socket H2, supports DDR3 memory. It was designed to replace the LGA 1156 socket (Socket H), providing compatibility with Intel's 2nd and 3rd generation Core processors, including the Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge architectures. LGA 1155 offers improvements in power efficiency and performance compared to its predecessor.
From the text book "Comptia A+ Guide to Managing and Maintaining your PC" 8th Edition by Jean Andrews. It works with the DDR3 memory and was designed to replace the LGA1156 socket.

The AM2 socket, introduced by AMD in 2006, supports DDR2 SDRAM memory. This socket is designed for use with AMD's Athlon 64, Athlon 64 X2, and Opteron processors, allowing for dual-channel memory configurations. DDR2 memory modules compatible with AM2 typically operate at speeds ranging from 533 MHz to 800 MHz.

The Sempron LE 1300 runs on the AM2 socket from AMD, which is almost never found on the same motherboard as DDR3 memory slots. You might be able to find one or two, but they won't work as effectively as a motherboard with Socket AM3 and DDR3 memory. The Sempron 145 "Sargas" core is based on the AM3 socket, and is available from Newegg for $39.99, as well as AM3 motherboards for around $40.

At first glance, accordingto Kingston, the X101 family has one DDR3 memory socket that can take a 2 GB module. They advise that a BIOS update may be necessary, they come with Windows 7 Starter edition - depending on the version, it may restrict RAM to 1 GB When you look at the machine, it has no memory access door, and taking off the bottom plate doesn't show any memory socket. The memory socket requires almost complete disassembly of the machine and you have to remove the motherboard to access the socket
