The name of a salt is in two parts:

Salts are made when an acid reacts with a base, carbonate or metal. The name of the salt formed depends on the metal in the base and the acid used. For example, salts made using hydrochloric acid are called chlorides
Pure metals are neither, no pure element is and acid or an alkali, it is only compounds made from elements that have this property. When metals form compounds those compounds are typically alkaline.
Hydrogen gas is always produced when acids react with metals because the acids contain hydrogen atoms that combine together and are released as hydrogen gas when a salt is made between the metal and the rest of the acid. Examples: Zn(s)+2HCl->H2(g)+ZnCl2 H2SO4+Mg(s)->H2(g)+MgSO4
Salts are the products of a neutralization reaction between a metal (or ammonium) hydroxide and an acid.
Salts contain a cation (metal or ammonium) and an anion derived from an acid.
It is made from different types of burning metals; * Strontium and lithium salts - red* Copper salts - blue* Magnesiumsalts - white* Barium salts - green* Sodium salts -gold.
From a supply of dilute sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄) and dilute hydrochloric acid (HCl), along with copper (Cu), magnesium oxide (MgO), and zinc carbonate (ZnCO₃), several different salts could be formed. Sulfuric acid can react with zinc carbonate to produce zinc sulfate (ZnSO₄) and carbon dioxide (CO₂), while hydrochloric acid can react with magnesium oxide to produce magnesium chloride (MgCl₂). Additionally, hydrochloric acid can react with zinc carbonate to yield zinc chloride (ZnCl₂) and carbon dioxide. However, copper does not readily react with these acids to form a salt under normal conditions, limiting the number of salts produced to three: ZnSO₄, MgCl₂, and ZnCl₂.
