each 1/0 is called a bit, 8 bits = a bite
bit?
A 0 or 1 in a binary number is called a bit. A binary number is made up of only ones and zeroes.
Bit, short for Binary Digit.
The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a computer's processor (also called a CPU), handles information. The 64-bit version handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit system.
This 8-bit handheld device was first manufactured and then released by Nintendo in Japan on April 21st, 1989. It was later released to the United States in July 1989, and even later to Europe in September 1990.
The first Palm OS handheld that was introduced with a color screen is the Palm IIIc. This Palm OS version was the first to have native color support and support paletted 8-bit colour modes.
It can do but it is really the other way around. A 32-bit operating system can work with a 64-bit processor. However, if the processor doesn't have a "soft" switching mode, you will have to manually switch the 64-bit processor to 32-bit mode via the CMOS setup. Ideally you should install a 64-bit operating system and leave the processor in 64-bit mode. This will then allow you to run 32-bit programs and 64-bit programs side-by-side.
A 264-bit system has 64 bits.
In a 32-bit system, there are 4 bytes.
In a 64-bit system, there are 8 bytes.
