2019 was pretty solid year for games, but I think the game that I most enjoyed would be FromSoftware’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. I’ve never been big into the Dark Souls series, although I did play a bit of Bloodborne, but the combination of lore, enemy design, and tight mechanics made me fall in love with this newest title. I also really appreciated the level of customization the game offered in skill trees and abilities. However, this title truly shines during 1-on-1 boss battles where your swordsmanship skills are put to the test.
Some honorable mentions I’ll include are Untitled Goose Game, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Pokémon Sword, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
