What will happen in the end of God of War?

After slaughtering the majority of the Olympians and Titans (e.g Gaia, Hades etc), Kratos catches up with Zeus. After killing Gaia, Kratos impales her with a blade which also hits Zeus. Zeus then reveals that Pandoras box contained 'hope', which was seen as an evil thing. Athena demands power back from Kratos which she claimed he stole when he opened Pandora's box. Unwilling to do so, Kratos impales himself with the blade of Olympus.

After the credits, there's a trail of blood which leads away from the Blade of Olympus. This way, the fate of Kratos is unknown.

kratos beats the crap out of Zeus, Athena comes back to life and reveals that in the Pandora Box (which kratos opened in the 1st god of war) had hope inside of it with the ability to kill a god. Kratos finished his revenge on the gods for trying to kill him. Since his quest for vengeance is over, kratos got a sword and killed himself, releasing the hope all over the world. So kratos sacrificed himself to give everyone some hope. Athena got mad.
