When does Minecraft 1.8 come out?

According to Jeb, the release date is not set in stone but it will be on Sept. 8 if there aren't any setbacks or other issues. In the PAX Party video, Notch mentioned that the update will likely be split into two parts since it has so much content.

No offical date has been released yet, but since the game is supposed to be out of Beta in a few months, we can assume it will be soon. I suggest checking Notch and Jed's Twitters daily to see if they have released the infomation.

minecraft BETA 1.9 isn't coming out ever because the full version has been releasted, however if things go well there (and I hope it does) should be a minecraft 1.9 within next year or the year after

Sorry HD ReMiXx, Your wrong the 1.7 update was the piston update. The 1.8 update will add creative mode and survival mode. Many people believe that the update will come out on August 15,2012
