When was the Wii U invented?

Like most devices of this type, the Wii didn't appear "all at once" on a given date. The concept for the Nintendo Wii surfaced in 2001. It was not until 2003 that a big development team was assembled, and by 2005 the controller interface was up and running. Later that year the unit appeared at the Tokyo Game Show. The idea for the Wii was conceived in 2001.

The Nintendo Wii was released on the 19th of November 2006 in the US, and the 8th of December 2006 in the UK.

It was originally going to be called a Nintendo Revolution. as of 2010 it has sold 10.9 million worldwide and i have one and in my oppinion its awesome
