because you need to have batteries in the remote and the wii has to be plugged in and on
you open the thingy on the Wii system (a red button) and press that, then you open the thing on the Wii remote (where the batteries go in),which is a red button,and press them both at the same time. if you are talking about a normal remote,then that will not work on the Wii. you should ask an adult or if you are one,then you should know how to do it, but use your brain,not smart dumbo!

First you go to the top of the controller, right of the left trigger and left of the center of the controller. There is a small round button with a thing that look's like the signal strength of a cell phone above it. Press and hold that till the center button lights start turning clockwise. Then Press the connect button on your xbox. It will then automatically connect the controller to that xbox. Repeat this process if you want to do this on another xbox
