they are use to create an expreshon that actors canot and in the olden days they used to only have mail actors so they used maskes to create a femail carictor.

In ancient greek, where drama and the play were invented, men [not woman] would use masks in costume for their production. The famous happy looking mask and sad mask orgiginated from this in a production line from one of the first ever plays.

No. Greek drama was not all mimed. We know this because we still have some of the plays by the likes of Sophocles and Aristophanes. The masks were so that people way in the back could still clearly tell what was going on.
