getting good places to fish all depends on not just the location but, how close the bank is, are there lots of players in the area and what kind of fish.
f2p:
the draynor shore by the bank has some good fishing but i do not recommend going there. to many players will use up the fishing spot quickly. so about 1/4 of your time there will be used changing spots.
the karamaja fishing dock is good as well. moderate player activity and you can fish for tuna, swordfish and lobsters. the general store is about a 10 second run south. sell your fish and you can make a good profit over time.
the barbarian village is good to. there is a fishing shop located there, and fly fishing can be fast xp.
p2p:
fishing in a members world is allot easier, faster and more profitable.
the catherby shore is an excellent place to start. there is tuna/swordfish, lobster, big net and shark fishing spots. the bank is close, a fishing store is in the area. and should you wish to work on your cooking there is a cooking range in the small building next to the bank.
note: catherby is by far the best place to train cooking as the cooking range is right next to the bank.
the fishing guild a great. they have shark, tuna/swordfish and lobster. a fishing shop is on location, as is a bank.
the fishing trawler minigame is ok. try to gather a group of friends of 8-10. the reason 8-10 is because the total catch is divided between how many players are on the trawler. the less player are on the more catch you will get, that also means more fishing xp you will recieve.
even though rocktail gives 380xp per catch i do not recommended it. rocktail is slow to catch and the living rock cavern are very dangerous. even though there is a bank deposit box near other places have a bank that is closer.
shilo village is an exillent place to train fishing. it is fly only but the bank is close and there is a shop to buy feathers. fly fishing can get fast xp in a sort amount of time.
the shores south of burgh de-rott are sharks only. but is an awesome place because the bank is a short run away and you will not see a soul walk past for days. just stay to the west to avoid being attacked by the vyrewatch.
the best place to fish in Runescape is the Piscatoris fishing colony. considering the swan song quest is needed picatoris has monkfish. monkfish give 120xp each, they catch fast, arrent allot of players there, you don't need to wast inventory space with feathers and the bak is right there. monkfish are bar far the best way to get you to 99 fishing.
one thing to remember when fishing is you will start off catching slow, but will then you catching speed will get faster. that bonus will stay like that as long as you keep fishing. so don't fish for 1/2 an hr and go do something else. keep going and 99 fishing will be yours.
heed by advise, i have 8 years of experience in Runescape and i know how to do allot.
In RuneScape, Anchovies only heal 1 Hitpoint.
30XP
The same places where you can catch shrimp, I think anchovies are members only thing.
You can't season food in Runescape. Either you get it like that, or you're SCREWED!
First of all, you need to have a fishing level of at least 5. You use a small fishing net and go to a fishing spot. When you right-click it, it should say "net fishing spot". If it doesn't, you need to find somewhere it does. You will catch anchovies and shrimp. It is faster with a higher fishing level. A common place to fish anchovies is near the Alkharid bank. But watch out, there is a scorpion there and I think it's level 14. Hope this helps!

Watermen typically use specialized nets, such as seine nets or cast nets, to catch anchovies. These nets are designed to efficiently encircle large schools of fish. In some cases, they may also employ light traps or other methods that attract anchovies, as these fish are drawn to light at night. Overall, the techniques used depend on the local fishing practices and regulations.
