Where do you get costumes on Poptropica?

The outfits in Poptropica are in the Poptropica store.

If you don't know where the store is keep reading, the store is on the right side of your screen, click on the star and it will show your stats(stats is how many islands you have completed), go to the upper right hand corner (again) and you will see tabs, click the second tab and it should bring you to the store, go down to where you see the people and click on one you like, a screen should pop up (if it says to press the space bar to see what it dose then press it and it will do a special motion) if you have enough credits and you like the outfit that the person is wearing then click the green button that says "GET". if you want to wear it then click the bag right next to how ever many credits you have!

There are a few ways to get a costume.

1 - copy one of the other Poptropicans by clicking on the T-shirt symbol at upper right. The items you can copy will be highlighted when you click on them (most female and male avatars cannot copy the other gender's costumes).

2 - You can win a costume as a reward in an ad-game. These appear for a short while every few weeks on the site, then are gone forever. The costumes appear as item cards and can be put on or taken off.

3 - There are sometimes bonus costumes. The last two are the Viking Suit on Time Tangled Island (which you can get using the Glider Wings at 831 AD) and the Bonus Costume in Early Poptropica -- Go to the first green building in Poptropica Towers, climb to the middle window on the 4th floor, and click the upper left window pane. This is the Hypno Costume.

4 - You can earn or buy credits, and buy costumes and effects in the Store.

*Costumes should have no effect at all on completing the island missions. Except in certain ad-games, they are strictly decorative.

Unless you use the Costumizer on an existing outfit, the only way would be to search through all the character appearance items using CTRL+SHIFT+R(randomizer).

*There are dog, mouse, and lion costumes for sale in the Poptropica store. But watch for versions to come out around Halloween, when multiple themed outfits show up in the game rooms.

The advertising game, Barbie Girl Halloween Bash, appeared on several islands during the last half of the month. To play the game, chose costumes for Barbie to wear. She will give you a hint as to the one she actually wants to wear.

To go to the costume ball, you must wear the Cat Girl costume that is your reward. Oddly enough, it can also be worn by male players. (!) This is an unusual change to the normal settings of Poptropica.

First, you go to your star in the corner of the screen. Click on it. This one screen should pop up. Go to shop. If you don't have any money, pass an island.

the only way to get free costumes on poptropica is to buy a membership. then they give you unlimited costumes, but if u lose your membership, they go away
