Where is Tom on the train in Professor Layton and Pandora's Box?

Tom is not a boy he is a dog, and you will eventually find him on the observation deck on the train. you first have to pick up his hat in the kitchen, and his shoe in the hall.

Look on the balcony. If you can't go there, there might be a person in the hall. Talk to that person. I'm not really sure because I have the American version. I hope I helped!

You can't find Tom directly and he's not hiding anywhere you can look

Tom appears in a cut scene only after you've completed a sequence of tasks (such as talking to specific characters in order, finding both of his shoes, etc) and solved a sequence of puzzles

You can't find Tom simply by looking around the train

Instead, Tom appears during a cut scene after you've solved certain puzzles and have done several things (such as talking to certain characters and visiting certain locations) in the right order

This includes, for example, finding both of Tom's shoes and his hat (which themselves only appear once you've done several things in the right order)
