Where is a scarab reator in Halo 3?

The core of the scarab is located on the hindside of the mobile platform, under the mounted plasma turrent. If you boarding the scarab through the hornet or you are jumping down on it, land near the opening in the front, and take care of any hostiles manning stationary plasma turrents. Head to the right or the left, either way you will end up at the back of the scarab on the second level, look around in that area and you should see a shield protecting the core, or if the core is already damaged, a dimming shield or the Legoko worms manning the scarab. If you are boarding the scarab by breaking down its legs, when it goese into standby mode jump into the back and proceed up the ramp, and then proceed to the back like you would as if you were boarding it from a hornet.
