Where is the abandoned house on ghost story island?

The Inn is to the right of Main Street, and the abandoned house is next door, above the beach. You can get up to the house by bouncing on the tent that the ghost hunter has set up on the beach.

To enter the house

You must get the information for the young guy at the cemetery (from the Newspaper records), and he will give you his room key at the inn. Take a nap in the room, and when you return downstairs you can pick up the violin. Playing it will reveal a shape in the upper window. Once the ghost hunter is taken away by the magistrate, use his binoculars. Once you see the window through them, bounce up on the tent and enter the basement through the cellar door.

The boat (the Kestrel) appears at the dock by the beach, to the right of the Inn, after you have deposited your $50 reward in the bank vault.

Before you can travel to the locations that you see in the telescope (in the house by the Inn), you have to collect the ghost-hunting equipment from the bakery. Go to the Gingerbread House and tell Jane that Fiona sent you, and she will supply everything you need.

The first stop is the Cemetery to look for the Spectre. Enter and go through the maze to Gate A at the upper left of the diagram. Enter and go right, and you will meet another ghost hunter at the gravesite. Hide and wait to get a photo of the Spectre. When you do, take it to the editor at the Herald and collect your $50 reward. Take it to the bank, and after you give it to the guard, you can see the ghost of the Tireless Thief under the vault floor.

As you exit the bank, a group gathers to look at the special edition of the newspaper. When the Magistrate disperses them, the boat arrives at the dock on the beach.

There are 2 ghosts: the Warden and the escaped Tireless Thief.

See the warden in his old office on level H of the prison. Use the Hot Cross Buns from the bakery. He tells you about the prisoner that escaped. Go to level D, cell 8 where the warden locks you in. Move the bed to uncover the tunnel. You will find the ghost in the tunnel, along with a pickax to make your escape from the cell.

The jail is out of the main part of the island. You have to take a boat and go northwest to get to the jail.

To get to the wreckage, go straight up from the lighthouse.
