Where is the second half of the map on wild west island?

The two pieces are

1) with the boy with the big head in Dos Cactos,and

2) on top of the bank after it is robbed.

Obviously you have to play most of the island before you can board the train and foil the bank robbery. Only then does the bank get robbed.

The cure for the big-head boy is in the mine at the upper right (train track) in Rock Ridge. Knock the key from the canary's claws to enter the mine, then shoot the red switches to travel on the cart. Get the blue flower and take it to the boy.

Answer 2

There are two pieces you can get in either order.

To get one, you have to fix the clock in the clock tower (in Diamond Plains). When it shows 3 PM, a train will arrive. Board the train and fight off the train robbers, who will then rob the bank in Rock Ridge instead. Go there and find the map piece on top of the ruined bank.

The other part of the map is with the big-headed kid in Dos Cactos. He needs the cure, which is a blue flower found in the Mine in Rock Ridge. Go there. Get the key to the lock by shooting it from the canary's claws at the Mine shack. In the mine, ride the cart and shoot the targets, until you find the flower deep in the mine.

In Some Detail

One piece of the map is with a red-headed boy with a huge head in Dos Cactos. He needs a blue flower to reduce his head. This flower can be found in the mine at Rock Ridge. Go to Rock Ridge and climb up the buildings, then run across the railroad track to the end where a chained-off door stands. The key to this door is with a canary, who is sitting on the shack. Get your pea or spud shooter and fire away at the canary, who will drop the key. Grab it, head inside the door, and hop in the mine cart. Take the ride and be sure to hit the targets with your shooter, and when you are done, you will reach the place where the flower is. Climb up and you will be back at the entrance of town, so call Elmer with the whistle and return to Dos Cactos to give the boy the flower. In return, he will give you a piece of the map.

Another piece of the map will be atop McGready's bank after it gets robbed by El Mustachio's gang. They will not rob it until you ride in the train at Diamond Plains, and the train will not run until the clock tower is fixed. So first, to fix the clock tower, get something to trade for an oil can: an old saddle from the cowgirl in Rock Ridge (you have to catch her missing calf). Go to Dusty Gulch and trade it for the oil can.

Then head over to Diamond Plains to the clock tower, climb up and head inside. Work your way to the upper left corner and oil up the gears correctly to get the clock working (just oil the center row of gears). With the clock working, a train will arrive, so go left and ride the train to Rock Ridge. Along the way use your shooter to prevent the gang from robbing the train. After the ride, they will have robbed the bank, so hop onto the roof of the bank and the map piece will be there.

go to rock ridge and go to the bank. talk to the bank dude and right on top of him is the piece of the map .

Find the flower in Rock Ridge. Go to Dos Cactos and give the blue flower to the boy with the big head. He will give you the second piece of the hideout map.
